Deborah Lambert
Deborah Lambert is a multidisciplinary artist. She received her BFA from the University of Southern California and MFA from the Academy of Art University San Francisco. She shows and sells her work to national and international private collectors, independently and through select venues.
What's It All About?
An art practice is not a straight line. It changes as we do. Sometimes stepping away from the work creates the distance necessary to see it and ourselves differently.
My current work grows out of that kind of return. After years centered largely on abstract painting, I found my way back through printmaking: a physical process of carving, reduction, repetition and attention. What began simply as a way to start making again has opened into a new visual language, often drawn from animals, plants and ordinary encounters with the world around me.
Across mediums, I remain interested in discovery rather than predetermined outcomes. I work by looking, responding, editing and allowing the work to reveal what it needs to become.
The medium may change. The impulse remains the same: to observe, stay curious, and leave room for the unexpected.
